Thanks again to everyone (runners, walkers, volunteers, & patron sponsors) who helped make our 2021 event special. I asked and you responded with an avalanche of support for our longtime volunteer and brother battling ALS. This love and generosity made possible a significant initial grant from the Smith Chiropractic Foundation, on behalf of us all, to the Keith Scalley special needs fund, as well as allow us to complete our 4-year $10,000 commitment helping to build to new BH Y, a community resource that will be enjoyed for generations and provide an initial emergency relief grant to the Ida flood victims in Manville. We raised $44,150 in 2021 bringing our 24-year total of charitable funds to $281,250. Please visit our Charities page for a full list of charitable grants given in 2021.
Free Photos of our 2021 BH5K are available on our Albums page, where you can download your favorite photos for free, yes free and even view photos from past years.
Please remember to visit our sponsor page and do business with all those who support us, without them, there is no BH5K.
Our 25th BH5k holds great promise, together with your participation, ideas, and energy, we will make it a day to remember.
As always, please let me know how we can make the 2022 BH5K the best yet!

The Berkeley Heights "Run for the Health of It!" Charity Road Race and Fitness Walk was established in 1996 to help lend support to non-profit organizations. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $300,000 and assisted over 30 local & national charitable organizations and local individuals in need. Please visit our charities page for a complete list of those who received grants for the last 2 years.
This unique small town event draws runners, walkers and spectators alike to Veterans Memorial Park to join in the festivities. Approximately 400 Runners will race through tree-lined neighborhoods in the Berkeley Heights 5K, which is sanctioned by the USA Track and Field Association. Non-runners and families can enjoy the fun by entering the 1.5-mile fitness walk, which winds through sections of the tree-lined residential 5K course. Our Free Tot Trot and Fun Runs for children ages 2-11 round out the day with over 150 smiling children dashing across Veterans Memorial Park. Please join us this year for a morning of friendly competition and family fun!
